Gregory widens his smile even more. "How interesting. I wouldn't have expected a family member of mine to help someone outside the family." With how confidently he said that, you would think he was being honest if you didn't know the truth.
"And you? What did you find?" You're going to pretend he's not lying through his teeth for now. "You searched a room too."
"...An old actress I used to know lived there. A Ms. Lilith Vanni. She was born to one of the families my own family was associated with. She probably got her position through this...mutual relationship her family had with Audrey." You can't detect any thoughts to the contrary in his mind, so you trust what he's saying for now.
"She was working with a Mr. Zayne Vanni to try getting other companies to sponsorship Avalon. E-Corp was the only one interested at the time." He places his hands on his knees and grips tightly onto them. "They were the ones who managed to ship the robot here."
"So, one of the reasons the anomaly is here." Kiara hums quietly. "Did you find a manual or anything? Even if the anomaly is only partially based on the robot now, maybe there's a shutdown phrase or something?"
"Nothing like that sadly. It does say that a minor quirk of the robot is the specialty material of its lenses is VERY vulnerable to intense light. You would have to set the light a lot dimmer when filming with it." Great, some useful advice on how to actually handle that damn thing outside of your gut instincts.
"The only other thing I found is part of an old movie script." He hands the manuscript over to you. Interesting.
>+UNFINISHED MANUNSCRIPT ("Written by Audrey Krakatoa. Directed by Liam Bean." Maybe the anomaly will find interest in it?"
Well, you got some useful keycards, a passcode to sneak in through the back, and a weakness of the anomaly. "Well, Gregory, come with me. You guys wait here." You start heading up back to Phillip's room with Gregory hot on your trail.
Back inside Phillip's room, you quickly guzzle down a brown vial before throwing the empty glass onto the ground. You can almost hear Gregory drooling at the prospect of doing SOMETHING to it without having to get his hands dirty. You pull out BEYOND LOVE AND HATE and without any hesitation, you stab it into the ritual circle.

Your vision goes black and a familiar voice begins to whisper in your head. That not quite feminine or masculine voice from before. "What are you doing?" It hisses with a mixture of venom and confusion. "He found his place in the City. He finally understood what he had to do."
"Why are you taking that away from him?" The venom vanishes, leaving only behind concern and confusion. "I do not understand you, Nicole, even if I love you."
"I hope you're making the right choice here." Soon, the voice leaves you. For a moment, you thought you saw the anomaly in the studio. It flickers in and out of reality, as if its connection to this world is being hampered. Then it all goes dark.
