Julia made a frustrated sound.
<span class="mu-r">“I swear, you and Webb with your ‘hunches’...”</span> she mumbled. <span class="mu-r">“Can you at least tell me about the crazy candy lady’s plan? How exactly was she going to ‘destroy the economy’?”</span>
<span class="mu-r">“My guess? It might have something to do with the synthetic diamonds she’s been popping out. I’m sure the police will take care of everything from here.”</span>
<span class="mu-r">“Only time will tell.”</span> Julia said in a nonchalant manner. <span class="mu-r">“Thanks for handling that, by the way. Things could’ve gotten messy if we left her alone.”</span>
<span class="mu-r">“Things are already looking pretty messy from where I’m standing.”</span> you said, raising your leg to brush wet cookie crumbs from your foot.
<span class="mu-r">“Oh, come on. I bet you were having the time of your life out there. I can only imagine how many food-related jokes you threw out.”</span>
<span class="mu-r">“Not as many as I would've liked, but I take your meaning.”</span>
<span class="mu-r">“What’re you gonna do now? Are you and your ‘partner’ coming back to the mansion, or are you staying out on patrol?”</span> she asked.
