>>6142804Team 'Surprise me' tasked with making free use of their judgment on their Quest. You wonder if allowing the Baphomets a free hand on what to do in the World is such a good idea. These goats look particularly excited and keen for the task though.
Team 'Grand Theft' is a shifty-looking crew, the sort who would sell their own mother for a quick buck. Yatagarasu reassures you that they are the finest thieves and raiders amongst the Guides. The main debate amongst the Guides is what guard to recruit for the mission.
"Okay kids, tomorrow morning at dawn, we gather at the Garden!" Yatagarasu announces as the meeting breaks up.
Ah yes, you need to decide on what sort of Quest you want to do. There's no rest for the wicked, not if you want to live. You are about to confer with Yatagarasu when something in the air causes you to pause. It is an unsettling feeling, skin prickles with tension.
Why?
That's when you hear it. A voice, soft and feminine, urging you to go outside. You heard it once in the haunted manor, whispering in your ear and granting you a Trait. Without thinking, you rush out of the office intent on seeing what is happening. The hours have fled, and night has fallen; the crisp air of fall makes itself known. Upwards! To the sky! You stare hard at it and see a comet streak across.
Then another. Another. Another. Another.
On and on they blaze!
Baphomets rush out of barracks and broken homes to also look upwards to the sky. Comets streak across the black canvas of night in multitudes beyond counting. The light as they burn and flash is so intense that for a few brief seconds, it is not night but rather more like day. Then, as suddenly as it began, it ends. The stars are still, the heavens are black and cold. The bells of Camelot toll a mournful death knell that echoes throughout the city and beyond the walls.
