It was a simple but effective strategy when it came down to it. First a pair of Skitarii would take either side of a door in order to secure it from opening without retaliation. After that an Omnispex Skitarii would scan the room for any forms of hostiles as well as the type of room they were in. Said information was given to the Skitarii Alpha who would make a choice.
The first was the foremost of them all. The Skitarii would fire through the walls at the targets that were detected. It was quick and efficient, but several things made this hard. First of all was that the walls could be so thick that the attacks would be impossible to penetrate. The next was that the material inside was too precious to risk such indiscriminate fire for. Neither man or machine were perfect enough to keep such items safe after all.
The Skitarii Alpha of this group quickly determined they were to try strategy two. The Alpha quickly gave a series of locations where his squad took position at and he himself did the same. Essentially this consisted of two Skitarii at the sides of the door, two ways in front of it to fire in, and the Plasma Cavalier prepared to blow the door off.
As UZ1 passed she watched as the Plasma Cavalier, on low power, blew the door wide open and the other Skitarii begna to fire in without care. With such firepower finished the Skitarii at the sides began to tunnel in while firing their own shots at the Xenos who were in there.
With them in the rest tunneled in as well, soon reporting that all their hostiles were cleared out.
Wordlessly UZ1 and the Acillians traveled through the building in a sort of patrol. Being so close UZ1 was able to send a series of course corrections and when the situation called for it a change in the battle strategy. Their objective however was an obvious one.
Standing at the sides of a massive door way a troop of ten Skitarii stood at guard. UZ1 received a click as the Alpha gave her a full report on the situation and an explanation for what was in there.
