>>5557701>“So, you believe Martin was responsible for turning those people out there into…what they are?”“Of course!” Kendo roars. “The timing was too perfect! Someone in our group must not have been as loyal as we thought. They more than likely tipped Martin off about our plan, and then he went to work poisoning those townsfolk somehow. He probably got some sort of concoction from that black devil, Hubert von Vestra!”
>“Were these the only people in the castle you found?” You point to the four quiet huddlers.“Them and one more.” Kendo answers. “We conducted a thorough search of the castle, but the only other person we found was a bandit, locked in the dungeon. She’d been there for a few weeks now, waiting for her execution. I left her to rot where she was.”
Lysithea turns to you, utterly exhausted. “What do you think, Blair?”
Lysithea was certain that Kendo was acting as normal as he’d ever been. Excluding him and his men, if you were to stick to your theory that there were four Agarthans present in the city, then that would mean the six people present in the castle prior to Kendo’s arrival were your prime suspects. Kendo had said they were the only people he’d found, and yet Stormy was sure Anemone was inside the castle as well. What a headache this was turning out to be. How could you tell who was who? Could you even?
