>tfw look at the /qtg/ and find discussion on my questI keep getting humbled by /qst/.
>>5863208>A mega-based son who is also having the same problem as his father in having tons of daughters but no sonIt's surreal to me how consistent this pattern has been. So much so if you hadn't managed to have two sons, Albin would've become convinced there was a curse. As is, he's paranoid for the future of the dynasty.
>>5868765It's a lot of fun to run, very comfy despite the scale of the subject matter, somehow. I like how the naval combat is tense and risky where the rest of the quest is more streamlined on that front. War should feel like a dangerous but lucrative avenue to advancement, which was what I had in mind when I put them together.
>>5870580I'm not sure if that was funny or tragic.
>>5881332I've been trying to be fastidious about catching samefagging but it's difficult to tell. Generally, if there's an explanation behind a vote or it's a minor vote, I'm inclined to give 1 ID posts the benefit of the doubt, as I use mobile to post for the most part and I suspect plenty of others do as well.
>>5881557>>5881561I'm blown away by this level of feedback. If I were any more humbled, I'd be sinking into the floor. I'm glad that you like the quest, that's the tone and sense of granularity through simple components I've been trying to go for. Different writing styles and prompts for the Emperors has been a lot of fun, and then there's the genetic system going on in the background. Lots of moving parts makes for a fast feeling quest, as long as they're all oiled, I think.
>A visual of the “world map” would be nice, but given the space-based nature of the quest it’s not really useful. This is a good point, I'll try to put together a representation of the situation once the current war is over. Or better yet, I'll leave it as a vote option so that the sudden, superior mapping can be an in-character development because I love that kind of nonsense.
I never got into Star Dynasty or read Tyrant Queen Quest, but your mention of them has gotten me curious. I'll have to check them out sometime, for sure. My take on the quest is that it's ideal to have a wide, broad focus that can be narrowed in on for a sharper look, depending on the context. Thank you for reading my quest! It'd all be meaningless is people weren't enjoying it.
For those of you who are interested, thread #2 for Simple Space Empire is underway
>>5887382. Right now, the Empire's starting an opportunistic war of conquest against one of its battered democratic neighbours. It'll be interesting to see how that pans out.
