>>5628615You decide to meet with this messenger from Faerghus first. You haven’t had any contact with anyone from the Holy Kingdom in over a year. The last time you’d had anything to do with them was when you’d been contracted by Rodrigue, the Duke of Fraldarius and Felix’s father, to free a group of prisoners belonging to the Knights of Seiros. Rodrigue had become the de facto leader of the Kingdom ever since Dimitri had seemingly fallen to madness. While he was a good man, you felt he lacked the ability to bring the Kingdom out of the poor situation it had found itself in. Their position as the weakest of the three factions was partially what led to you choosing to join up with Claude and the Leicester Alliance instead.
Corrine leads you towards where the messenger is waiting. He is clad in the traditional blue of the Knights of Faerghus, standing next to the wyvern he must have taken to find you. He seems to be observing both your men and the refugees from Ordelia with quite the amazed and confused visage.
>“Hello. I hear you’ve been looking for me?”The messenger snaps out of his daze and turns towards you. “What in the Goddess’ name happened here?” He shakes his head quickly, remembering his duty. “Never mind that…are you Blair Weaver?”
>“I am. How may I assist you, good knight?”He reaches into a satchel at his wyvern’s side and retrieves what looks like a letter. “Blair Weaver. I’ve been sent to find you by Duke Fraldarius, from the Kingdom of Faerghus. He bid that I ensure you receive this letter, and that no one else but you read it.” He gives a sidelong glance at Corrine, who makes a rude gesture back at him.
You retrieve the letter from the man and open it, reading the contents aloud so that Corrine can hear you.
>“To: Blair Weaver, Commander of the Blackwing Mercenary Company.
