"Back so soon!"
"Hi, Doc."
Once you settle down, you send Phascomon out of your Digivice. Doc is busy with a series of heavily encrypted archives, and is plopping them down on the table in front of you. You wait quietly while he gets everything settled.
"There we go!"
He opens them up, revealing several useful-looking tools. Some of them are familiar.
"Are these for me?" You ask hopefully.
"I don't like doing advance payments, you know that. But you've been a worthwhile investment all this time. So here's what I can offer: A brand new tool to help you out."
<span class="mu-s">"What's in it for you?"</span>
"You're going to be seeing a LOT of Digimon tonight, if what Hi-Commandramon said is true. While you're doing your little safari tour, I want you to scan as many as you can. If you can get up close and do a deeper one, you might even be able to get some complete Digi-DNA samples. When you come back to me after the mission, you'll have a whole trove of them, I trust."
"Sure. I can do that." You agree. It's not too difficult a task.
"Good! Now, take a look."
He explains the various gadgets once again. You've been offered some of them before. They're rare and valuable tools that Code Crackers always charge exorbitant sums for. Or in Doc's case, major favors.
>The malware packet gun. It generates mangled code with an internal program as ammunition, then launches packets of corruptive data outwards. Doc has held on to this for a while. It'll be good against Rookies, and you've had a bit of practice thanks to the OOPART. However, it's less effective against Virus types, and Champion Digimon won't be harmed much by the small-scale attacks. Still, it'll permanently provide you with a weapon of your own.
>A waist-wrapped grappling hook. This object is always useful in the urban environment of 87-O. It has no chain, and simply creates physics lines that get you from one place to another. Its effectiveness skyrockets when combined with f1oat.app. The grappling hook can't be used to pull objects towards yourself, and it can't let you fly, but it'll aid you in navigating the interior of this partition, as well as the city outside.
>A holographic ghost projector. Inside it is a highly-competent graphic engine, capable of creating a realistic human model. Unfortunately, you can only use this to clone yourself since it's drawing from your linked data. It's not effective against servitors and Digimon who rely on scanning, as they'll identify it as an empty shell, but you could use it to distract lesser threats. The ghost images have no fine control, but you can make them run in different directions, surround your body in them, or have them stand on the spot. There are some further permutations of its use, including downscaling for lesser graphics, since you obviously won't want to blare your face as a distraction.
