>>6146378Then, in the same moment as her blow lands one of her Warding Eyes fires a beam at you, once more you focusing on your energy and trying to harden it in response to the attack the moment it hits. However, you're not fast enough on the draw, the piercing shot going straight through your Energy Body. The beam isn't powerful enough to pierce through you, but is enough to hurt.
“Keh!” you exhale, Meloka stopping and not attacking further.
“You okay hun?” she asks, you nodding.
“Yeah, I'm fine. Just need to be faster on the draw.” you reply, the two of you both going back to it. Over and over she attacks, you trying to react to her blows. While for today it doesn't work, you have a good feeling that, with time, you're going to master this technique. And at the end of your training time with Meloka, Cooler suddenly arrives.
“Evening, Lord Cooler.” you say, clenching your fists and powering up. Transforming in a flash, ascending to your Berserker God form. “Ready to go?”
“I wouldn't be here if I wasn't.” he replies, and in a golden flash ascends to his Golden form.
“You two have fun, I'm going to continue my own training elsewhere.” Meloka says, taking to the sky then flying off. It takes a couple seconds from the time she departed for her energy to leave the large, shallow crater clearing. Her Energy Shell being far larger than you'd thought it was during the fight. But your focus then turns to your emperor, the two of you taking your fighting stances. Sparring to the point of exhaustion, Cooler noticing that you tire out faster than the day before.
“Hmph. Are you. Finished. Already?” he asks at the end, both of you too exhausted to continue as unlike him, who remains standing after you've dropped to a knee. “You tired out faster today than before.”
“I pushed myself hard with the rest of my training today.” you say, watching Cooler's eyes widening in surprise. “I'm tapped out.”
“Hold on. Other training?” he asks you, sounding confused. “You mean you do more than spar against me?”
“Of course. I spend most of my day training.” you reply, watching his expression turn from smug albeit slightly confused to pure shock, clearly surprised you were able to fight him for as long as you had. “You mean you don't?”
“Absolutely not. Unlike you, I have an empire to run. I cannot spend all my day idling about.” he replies, clearly trying to make himself feel better about how little he's training. “And, speaking of, I'm needed elsewhere.”
And with that he raises his right hand to his forehead, teleporting away with Instant Transmission.
