The giant doors inside the even bigger doors open, their titanic weight lifting enormous sand clouds from the soil below them that enter the car through the window you left open. Now you all are covered in dirt. But since you’re planning on sneaking inside, you’ll consider this camouflage! Another brilliant move of yours. Morale took a hit though as Ihor and Vanessa were understandably less than thrilled by this unexpected makeover. You park the car where the other guards indicate you, they all leave back to their posts… As you planned, you’re left alone!
“Everyone, there’s no time to lose. We’ll sneak inside that temple now.” You take off your seatbelt and let the others know about your flimsy idea.
“Huh? Shouldn’t we wait for that friendly guard to come back?” Vanessa didn’t see this coming.
“Vanessa, we need to follow her, it’ll be faster. Ema will get here any moment.” You clap to hurry her up. Ihor is ready on his end.
“I-I tend to forget how proactive you are!” Vanessa is coming to terms with the idea.
“I don’t believe in our chances of success if we all go.” Ihor doesn’t think you can be stealthy as a group.
“You got a better idea?” You don’t want to sound mean, but you don’t have time.
“No. Listen to me, Kobashi.” Ihor takes his wallet out and shows you a photo. “This is my daughter. She’s my top priority. She comes above all. You understand?”
“Right…” You get where he’s going. Ihor will not go the extra mile for any of you two. He still has a family he loves. “I understand.”
Ihor nods.
“What an adorable pumpkin head!” Vanessa fell in love with the girl in the picture. “I want to pinch her cheeks.”
“They’re soft.” Ihor nods. “I apologize for taking some time.”
“Let’s go.” You three share a quick glance. It’s showtime.
