Shun Shun and Haru Haru once more get in front of Basilea defensively, glaring at Peppa. In contrast to her brother’s equally cold glare, Peppa’s attempting to keep a softer look on her face. Basilea looks at her with… a drained, tired expression. Beelzebub gives Peppa a nod, and so she says as bluntly as possible, “Towa’s a shit. Ditch her. Join the winning team.”
The crass and direct statement catches her off-guard, but that does bring a bit more light back to her eyes. Gohan lets out an almost unwilling laugh, while Maple manages to hold back a snort. Even you end up giggling at that. There’s a beat of silence as you all wait for her response. The briefest of smiles cracks through Basilea’s lips. “I’ll think about it.”
“Good.”
They’re next led away, and you finally get the attention of your aunt and cousins. “…Mind if I bunk with you guys for the night?” you ask, catching them by surprise. “I… just wanna make sure you’re all holding up all right. I still mean what I said, we’ll get uncle Goku back, but I’m not gonna pretend that’s gonna bandage everything up.”
Peppa and Gohan hug you, and you hug the two of them back. Maple gives a soft, appreciative smile, then nods. “Okay Izzy. Thank you.” Raditz gives you a smile, then waves as he flies back home.
Letting mom and dad know, the four of you teleport away. Appearing near Groucho, the sabertooth looks up at you all, but tilts his head in confusion when he notices Goku isn’t there. He gives you a curious sniff, then moves over to follow Maple around, letting out a sad growl. Gohan and Peppa head into their rooms, but you stick with Maple for a bit as she gets herself some tea. The two of you sit down, with Maple being… quiet for a bit.
“...Before I get some rest of my own, I’d like to check on a certain someone.” you tell her. “Maybe… maybe Nazar might have some advice for us.”
Maple drinks a bit of her tea, giving a nod. “Okay. I… might have some questions of my own, but we both shouldn’t stay up too late.”
All right. You sense out to Z’S, and attempt to connect with Nazar’s gestalt mind…
