and one instance of poorly-done smut. The former generally happened because I really, REALLY enjoyed writing my quest and even though I don't think of myself as much of an artist I got a lot of joy drawing images for it, especially when they didn't look half bad. What started as a drunken pastime for me ended up becoming a huge part of my life--it was hard NOT to make extra content, honestly. I haven't thought of any BONEus content for Bones yet--already wrote a big epilogue and I have no clue what kind of sidestory folks would enjoy, not to mention I have that curse where everything that I write that's supposed to be short ends up spanning into an eighty part epic, so yea...
>Player Question:I think it's a confidence thing, really--I'm fine with drawing shit for my own quest, but I don't think my stuff would hold up for any of the others I read, save for a few pics I threw together for the Waifu Tourney a while back.
If anything I'd probably be best at writing side-stuff, but even then I feel like the QM is usually the best at capturing the essence of their story. Maybe some day I'll put something together? As for smut, well, no clue how a QM will react to that.
>General Question: Small interactions when done correctly. I feel like those moments in between the action are where quests and their characters really thrive. Reading characters talk to and hang out with each other and all of their dynamics bestows a certain 'realness' on them, and I find it much easier to get into a quest when I feel like I can hear the characters speaking to one another. Action scenes are cool too when they've got the proper imagery to back them up--take, for example, a fight in Army of Darkness vs. John Wick: both are great, of course, but there's two completely different sets of choreography between the two, and both set specific tones in each setting.
>Misc. Question:Honestly having a whole /qst/ character Halloween party-turned slasher movie would be pretty hilarious. Having James Calaca going all Ash Williams after a ghoul gets Petunia or something while Charlotte and Elise struggle to get a car started is just ripe with opportunity. I guess the big issue would be having a killer that could square off with a bunch of /qst/ protags...
