>>5851389No, you don't have to fail self control rolls first. Brawlers can shift their footwork innately with attacks. For everyone else, it requires Influence, either of someone else or yourself. You can psyche yourself up as well as calm yourself down.
Violence also makes you more aggressive once you fail control of yourself, or give into the Mask - it's part of what violence is. But simple success at calibrated attacks, that's not enough.
It went away because you got hammered rather badly and your stance got broken up. There's a roll involved, and if you get knocked about too much, you lose your natural aggression in favor of the faint feeling of an oncoming concussion. That's why the Mothmask sets your aggression to 1, at all times and always, such that even if you foul up your footwork, you still end up aggressive.
The drenching is worth quite a lot, but you'll simply have to wait a little...
Your allies appear to somehow be caught up in delusions of neither glory nor of grandeur but somehow they convinced themselves about half-way through that they could control themselves when they take action to specifically let go fo all self control and let the random chaotic nature of the world take over. That, I think, is merely on them.
Slip... Are you going to comment?
Ken is our lookout! He helped Slip earlier find the warehouse.
Colours don't have personality, your question is for poets I'm afraid.
And yeah, Waxworm would have made out like a gold clad magnate. Too bad him and Riv are lost.
>>5851449Good pay for good work. Worry not at all, you mercenary, you get compensated quite well for services rendered. And if it is not to your liking, you are well able to simply not take the invitation to the Ball. So no, no "reward" is wasted. How is it a reward to learn how to fight better, any-chance. That just seems to be your skill improving.
As for bits and other such things - while Coins buy you all the little detritus and interesting joy you need in your True Face life, Bits is what you use to barter, it's all the things worth really getting into the trading spirit for.
