You had read a little of this ‘rota’ system at the Athenaeum. The Dragon Guard may be diverse beyond any other military force in the world, but the basic structure of their cohorts is divided into even parts across three rotas. One for rest, a second for palace watch duties and other stations that require the vigilance of their number, and a third dedicated to combined arms training and standby reserve force.
