>>5349895While Chaya looks up at you in shock, for the first time you notice something else as well. Where the tiny fighter's saw had cut Chaya's face on the right side, she now sports a wicked scar similar to the one on the left side of her face. Except this one, unlike the other cut which was with a blade, this one is more jagged and uneven, and even more angular. Her eye itself seems fine, if a few shades lighter now than the other one. But she seems able to see you out of it just fine.
“I'm just glad I was there.” you say to her, resting your forehead against hers. “I almost lost you.”
“I-I lost?” she asks you, and something inside her holding her up just seems to break. Chaya slumps in your arms, her entire body going limp as she closes her eyes again. “No, no way. I didn't lose, I can't lose...”
“I'm sorry, but it's the truth Chaya.” Orlen speaks up, your daughter opening her eyes and turning her head towards the man. “She planned everything, all of it. From the 'invasion' here, to the 'Champion's Gauntlet', all of it. She set it all up just to take you down.”
“Tanya.” your daughter says with a bit of a snarl, clenching her fists. But as she does, you notice something else you hadn't seen yet. On her right arm, where she'd used it to block Tanya's saw blade, it also now sports a wickedly jagged scar as well. It seems that somehow Tanya's and Caulifla's magics mixing doesn't allow magic to seamlessly heal the injuries she delivers, but leave a nasty scar instead. Which makes sense, considering she probably comes from a world of people who use magic just like her to fight, and presumably heal as well. “That t-traitor. I'mma kick her ass!”
Chaya trembles a bit as she pushes herself up and out of your grip, standing under her own power. Albeit unsteadily, swaying a bit on her feet for a few seconds. But she finds her balance, walking over and grabbing one of her spare training uniforms that's kept in here, just in case of an emergency. As she starts dressing, looking a bit unsteady as she does, your daughter starts ranting angrily.
“Championship fights are supposed to be one on one duels, no outside help or interference.” she fumes, Raditz walking over to help her, but she tries to push him back. She doesn't physically move him, but he stops at the gesture as she continues complaining. “Vox knows that. I'mma go give him a piece of my mind, then kick Tanya's ass too! This time I'm gonna break her in two, how dare she think she can take MY title of Champion! Just who does she think she is?”
