Panoramic lens assembly provides the warfighter with a fused prism of overlapping images from the forward and angled intensifier tubes spliced at the eyepieces, producing unparalleled 97degrees FOV, compared to 40deg view of traditional binocular systems. Two centre lenses point forward akin to traditional dual-tube goggles, giving the operator more depth perception, whilst two more tubes point slightly outward from centre to increase peripheral view. The GPNVG is powered by an external cold weather battery pack with integral strobes. It is a crime for a foreign citizen to look through Gen3 night vision devices, or to export or carry this device, absent authorisation, beyond the border.
