The next few attacks they traded blows. Leman Russ slammed his hand into TalOS’s chest, sternum, and hip while TalOS continued taking flecks of his blood. TalOS could feel the admiration of everyone around him. It was comparable to that a standard human would feel, instead of the insane jolt of emotions that any psyker of Delta or above would be feeling.
It was a feeling that TalOS enjoyed. This entire fight was something that TalOS enjoyed.
As he traded blows against his brother it was not the pain the two traded or the feeling of trial that was between them. No it was the fact that they could do something like this in the first place. His brother, Horus Lupercal, would never ask to do something like this with TalOS. Maybe it was because he was seeking to create some sort of false kinship between the two by adjusting his own interests to that of TalOS.
That wasn’t what TalOS wanted. He knew that he would be different from his brothers the moment he met Horus and the Emperor. Even those as intelligent as he is will not share his interests in the Machine Spirits and likely will never serve the Machine God like he does. Not with the influence of this father upon each and every one of them.
The two brothers looked at one another with grins on their faces. The last few moments the two had made contact and TalOS could already start to feel the wear upon his body. While Leman Russ did not escape unscath the Primarch was getting in a series of good hits into TalOS’s organics. The effects of the alcohol were tearing into TalOS’s innards and caused a nasty effect upon his blood that caused standard regeneration procedure to start failing. Even with this the two charged at one another.
What TalOS enjoyed was just him and his brother just messing about. TalOS wondered if it was because of their psychic link between one another, but then he thought about it again. He did not enjoy himself this much with Horus, but then again Horus acted like a Politician at an informal gathering.
Here, between two brothers, was really not a competition. TalOS knew that the moment he told his brother he would do all three challenges. The Federation Term, ‘Fucking About’ just about describes the two’s experince. Just Two Brothers having a drunken brawl without a care because they were brothers.
