You were sure that she’d be interested in coming back to explore the different regions some more, but for now, you needed her out of Vegas. There were demons trying to terrorize the city, and you had to put a stop to it before the situation could get out of hand. You had no doubt that Va Nee would be invaluable in your effort to end the threat, but you also understood her desire to stay out of the public eye and avoid drawing any attention to herself. If anyone recorded a video of her, and it somehow became available to whatever information networks were available to the countless alien races out there, then there was a good chance that the Grandmaster or one of his cronies would see it eventually.
You both exited the pocket dimension, said your farewells, and thanked each other for the time and effort spent here today. Thanks to her, you had a much better understanding of the Pocket Dimension and your Nega Bands.
But she just seemed happy to have been able to stretch her legs and set foot on alien terrain. And it was a weird sight to see your alien friend be genuinely satisfied for once. She was usually mopey and cold. It felt good to know that you could help cheer her up, if only a little bit.
After she returned, she relinquished control over her body to your sister and went back into hibernation. You didn’t say anything to your sister about her brief excursion into a Pocket Dimension in Las Vegas, and instead made up an excuse about needing alien advice.
You intended to tell her about it later, but getting into it over the phone, on an unsecured line was a bad idea. So, you made small talk, asked her about how Pete and Cindy were doing, and casually mentioned that you were going to be bringing back souvenirs. You’d have to actually remember to do that before you went home.
