Plans rush through your head, maybe you can shout out to the princess to get her to make a box around herself. But then she'd have to drop the barrier on the door. You aren't even sure there is time to get the words out of your mouth before Pierrot shoots. You do the only thing you can think to do, an action made easier once you see Tamako standing near the princess.
You dive into the path of the gun.
You feel a sharp pain go through your lower leg and forearm, causing you to fall over. A second later you see Emogen descend onto Pierrot, her heavy fists pounding down on the clown. Your vision swims, and you pass out.

You are jolted awake by a large bang, then feel a sharp sting in your wounded extremities that reminds you of your situation.
"Daaad!" Tamako says sobbing, hugging you tight. You move to hug her back, even through the pain. On your injured arm you notice your wound tightly bound with some polka-dotted cloth. Your shot leg is as well, and looking around you see Lulu standing nearby, shoving a long rope of handkerchiefs into her pocket. You are up against a wall. Emogen and Pierrot are no where to be found in the hallway.
There is a lot of banging and shouting, and then another loud bang, and you look around confused as it all echoes through the hall.
"Emogen and Kamiko are taking out the rest of the clowns." Tamako says, wiping her nose and pointing to the room with the cages. "They said you shouldn't move too much. No dying okay?"
You say you have no plans to do so. You then ask when Kamiko got here, and how long you were out for.
"You were only out for a minute or two. But yeah It was so cool! Kamiko came charging in with her big gun! " Tamako says miming shooting a gun with her hands and sounding impressed despite the circumstances.
The princess taps your daughter, and then does some sign language towards her.
"Huh? Oh okay!" She says, and helpfully translates for the princess. "Lulu says thanks for taking a bullet for her. It was very brave for a human to do something like that."
