>>5341624“We found out FutureLabs is turning another mutant into a living mutant detector.” You explain, seeing no reason why you shouldn’t trust Boleski with this information. If anything, it’d be a greater incentive for him to agree to what you’re doing, seeing as he was an Epsilon Trial subject himself.
Also, if FutureLabs did somehow find out that you managed to catch wind of their plans, their suspicions would immediately be cast onto the nonexistent insider that somehow managed to slip past their ranks. You wonder if they’d end up suspecting John like last time…
But whatever! He has powers now– he can take care of himself!
“So you want… going into FutureLabs?” Boleski asks, still trying to process the gravity of the situation. Behind his back, his wings have bunched up so much that the feathers have become as disheveled as his hair.
“Did it before and made it out,” You tell him, and, slowly, longsufferingly, he runs a hand down his bedraggled face, apparently still in disbelief.
However, amid the disbelief, you see visible disgust play across Boleski’s features. It’s a fully-justified disgust, all things considered, and, if there’s anyone Boleski resents moreso than the young Maranzano, it’s Atticus Charles.
“Okay,” Boleski grunts, eyes hardening with determined resolve. “I will help."
“What I have…” He stops himself, struggling with his words, and he has to take pause to think of how to say his next words. “What do I have to do?”
“We’re working on that,” You tell him, since you haven’t really planned on any details besides the obvious ones. “But we’re also planning a large-scale sabotage when we go in.” A multitask, if you will, because who says you can’t kill two birds with one stone?
“Wait.” Valjean interrupts, a tad more intrigued in the conversation than he previously was. “How large-scale are we talking here?”
