They overlooked a village that appeared to have a population of ten thousand occupants if it were human. Lorch’s eyes glanced back and forth towards the odd alien structures that were either made of crystal or the Xeno’s style of wood. It only made things more odd in that there was not a forest anywhere near here.
Even from here he could see the numerous bodies strung out across the streets as the Xenos either died of organ failure or were killed by their fellows. There were a few that appeared to be moving at the street level, but those were killed with pinpoint fire by one of the Astartes that had surrounded the place.
“Ah, brother!” Laughed an Acillian by the name of L3KT declared as he approached the Astartes, “Sargent Torben is at the southern spot, he wanted me to meet with you.”
“Understood.” The Captain said as he scanned the area, “Points of interest?”
The Acillian happily began to point through the area with a phantom grin upon his helm, “There are three locations we believe will need to be secured. I talked to the Sargent and he thinks we can blow up the sewer system to take out… 78% of the infrastructure with a couple of explosives and canisters.”
“And these locations are where the Xenos are held up?”
“Yup, from what we have gathered through material consumption the Xenos have a small militia that occupied the village for means of their Law. We believe their Barracks, the nearby Administration Building and their place of Education to be strongholds.”
“And the population within these strongholds?”
“Two hundred average with an alpha of .08. While few will be trained combatants, 87% of their population are psykers blessed by foul gods. We should not take any of them lightly.”
“And their ability to resist chem attacks?”
“Minimal. Based on material memory their kind never dealt with chemical based warfare.”
Under his helmet Lorch finally grew a smile as he heard those words.
>Put them all asleep, let make this clean
>Set them all alight!
>Lets see how slugs melt
>Big explosions are good explosions.
