If it was a relationship with the Imperial Fists that gave his sons some form of enjoyment then that was what TalOS wanted to know. Taking his analysis of Matthais into account TalOS could easily tell the Fists were all about their work, and thus Vadar and the Second Legion would be about it too because surely they talk extensively about such work.
“Vadar, as I have a moment now to talk to you, I wanted to learn about what my sons will be providing to the greater Crusade.” TalOS began with a soothing mechanical song that was honey in the ears of those who heard it, “Would you mind educating me on your current doctrines?”
“I can give those to you father. How would you like them issued?” He asked with a sternness about his face that betrayed no emotion.
“I would prefer that you tell them to me, but what other methods do you have available?”
“We have developed tomes of text, psycho indoctrination, and blood vials for those who are able to learn from them. If you wish to employ any of these to save time I shall send for any.”
“I do not need any of those Vadar.” TalOS told the Astartes with a small laugh in his heart, “It is easy enough for you to tell directly. I am currently on my break period and wish to spend that with you all.”
The Astartes gave a nod to TalOS as he turned himself completely to his direction, “Our focus is upon heavy weapons and their numerous uses in war. While the Master of Mankind has declared that all Astartes are to migrate their weapons from Volkite to Bolters; we have found such a change debilitating. However as the decree is a decree we have adjusted to not lose all capabilities previously afforded to us by these weapons.”
“So that would include things such as Lascannons and flamers?”
“The use of Flamers is only for emergencies when the enemy gets too close.” The Astartes declared with what is a swiftness that hinted something within it, “I have within our possession a machine known as MLT4 that is becoming prefered.”
TalOS only needed a moment to learn all he needed from the archives of the Mechanicum, “That is an STC that was discovered by Skitarii regiment MLT4 two years ago. It is currently in trials to be sanctified by Mars for mass production. A close range anti-material beam weapon. Interesting. What have you witnessed from the Machine?”
“It is a better version of the flamer Father.” The Astartes answered quickly with a firmness of someone who had personally witnessed the weapon, “What it lacks in range capabilities are made up for in destruction. It is capable of turning several Orks into air with a single pull of the trigger.”
TalOS could not help but feel something within those words, “I would agree. To have such a weapon in the palm of one’s hands would be exhilarating.”
