The recon officer clearly disagreed, and berated his fellow, but the tide was turning against him. The Petrekorans weren’t interested in gift-giving, and might have felt safer with hostages rather than promises…
The only thing to be pleased about was that things still weren’t devolving to shooting, though there was plenty of that to be found towards the town of Kobberhus itself.

With a barrage of cannon and machine gun and rifle fire from all sides, the southwest Twaryian anti-tank position was quickly neutralized, along with a significant portion of the architecture that had been their cover. Though, as the Petrekora negotiation delegation moved down the road, their prime linguist, Leif Wesker, saw plenty he didn’t like on both sides, as he was given the opportunity to spot not only with binoculars but the extreme magnification of his vehicle’s main gun. Twaryians on one side, moving up to face them, and Petrekoran vehicles on the left. He alerted the rest of the group to them, but noted that the ancient looking vehicles had already lined up shots- had they made the wrong move yet, or were they only preparing? Further west, there had been contact that hadn’t turned to fighting yet, but if he put himself in the enemy’s shoes, there wouldn’t be a better time to ambush…
Oberhemd’s Panzer Dragoons made an entrance late to any actual shooting, but a shower of rifle and machine gun fire on his armored transports told him that the enemy was plenty ready for his entrance- though not his impermeability to their bullets. The loud crash of many bullets unnerved the troops already, who huddled down and covered their ears, but the noble Lieutenant knew already that they would not be harmed by those. As soon as the point that the armored transports was directed towards was reached, the Dragoons needed no encouragement to pile out the back and, under heavy cover and well behind their transports, begin attacking the ground with their spades. The fan formation of armor protected them for now- but it’d be a real good time, Rot thought, for the rest of the battalion to swoop in.
