>>5226963A well-placed arrow from an experienced archer is enough to bring down even the most seasoned of Pegasus Knights. Narrowing your eyes ahead and fixating on your target, you resolve to not allow the foe the opportunity. Unsheathing the stave strapped to your back, you call forth a surge of magic. You’d only practiced the incantations for Bolting, but you’ve yet to have the opportunity to try out the destructive spell. Clouds form from on up high, and an ominous, rumbling sound echoes across the forest. Ordinarily, flying a Pegasus during a thunderstorm would be a foolhardy endeavor, but you’re the one in control here. Raising your hand to the sky and focusing all of your attention on the speck you’ve chosen in the distance, you summon forth a bolt of lightning from on high, that shoots forward towards the doomed archer.
As the bolt descends from the sky towards your target, the enemy scrambles to get out of the way. While your target’s compatriots are successful, the archer himself is less than so. A loud boom and an explosion are the signs that the spell was a success. Dust is kicked up on-high, and a large crater is left in the earth where the spell made contact.
>Critical Hit! 20xp gained! (30/100) (Bolting: 1 / 2)You take note of your work. Bolting is a rarity amongst combat mages. The spell is only taught to those with top marks from either the Officer’s Academy or the Fhirdiad Academy of Sorcery, under the tutelage of a skilled mage such as Professor Hanneman. Whoever these bastards were, they would soon learn what it meant to go up against elite caliber Black Eagles.
From down below, your allies charge forward, Edelgard and Professor Byleth leading the way as the vanguard against the Demonic Beast up front. The beast is the same type as the one you saw back at the Chapel, likely turned from another human. While it appears ferocious, it struggles to keep up with an enraged Professor, doubly so when she’s wielding the Sword of the Creator. She singlehandedly occupies the beast, while the students behind her pepper it with ranged attacks and work on dealing with the strange, black-armored men accompanying it.
From the west, the enemy begins making their way towards the Black Eagles. You have the option to pepper them up with some magic before they contact your backline. You’re certainly feeling confident after that Bolting. Alternatively, you can focus on what’s ahead of you. Besides the enemy’s your friends are currently engaged with, you have a feeling that there may me an ambush waiting further ahead.
“Blair? Was that you? You seem mad…is everything okay?” Kronya's mocking voice calls out.
