Thanks to Freeza's efforts, Majin Buu was awakened! However, Karn chose to first save his wayward daughter over the universe, dragging Freeza along with him. After saving his daughter from what would have been certain death, Karn abandoned Freeza on Yardrat to take Chaya away for healing before returning to the battle with the Ginyu Force. Karn's Divine Dragon Force killed the wizard Babidi as the Ginyus engaged Majin Buu. With exceptional teamwork and Karn saving Guldo from being turned into a cookie, Ginyu had done it! He'd swapped bodies with Majin Buu! But as he had done so, the Supreme Kai showed up with his apprentices. Karn convinced Kars in his Za Warudo's stopped time to spare Ginyu, instead directing him towards battling the Lobo with his sword you've never seen before. But as we rejoin Karn, something quite unexpected happened: the sword broke and released an elderly Kai who'd apparently been sealed away inside it. Somehow. Yet this isn't even the wierdest thing to happen today.
“C'mon now, speak up.” the ancient-looking being says, you turning to look at Kars as well. Who drops the shattered blade, walking up just past you and to your surprise KNEELS to the elderly being.
“My name is Kars. I am a disciple of the current Supreme Kai, Shin of the Seventh.” Kars says, his immediate formality shocking you. Is the old man really THAT dangerous? Your instincts hadn't given you a single warning about him, so why is Kars acting like this? “But it would seem his title is not rightfully his own.”
“I appreciate you trying to butter me up, but I haven't been Supreme Kai for generations.” the elderly Kai says as he starts muttering to himself, slowly counting on his fingers. “Not for, I think, 75 million years now.”
“75 MILLION!?” you exclaim in shock, the elderly Kai turning to you and squinting a bit.
“And just who're you supposed to be?” he asks, frowning a bit. “Hang on, this energy. Wait, you're not one of those godeaters are you?”
“A what?” you ask, tilting your head in confusion. “What's a god eater?”
“Well, that's a relief.” the old man says with a sigh, wiping his forehead with his sleeve. “Now, Kars, right? How about you lead me to this Shin fellow, and I can see how my lineage has turned out over fifteen generations?”
“Of course sir.” Kars says, then with a note of trepidation adds. “But don't get your hopes up. He's not too impressive, not compared to you.”
“Well of course not, I'm a prodigy of my time and handsome to boot!” the elder says with a joking laugh, before turning serious. “But before we go, you should really stop holding time hostage. It's bad etiquette, the Supreme Kai of Time might come down and have a word with you about this.”
“Za Warudo.” he says, summoning his Stand once more. “The flow of time will resume. Good luck with that, Karn.”
And just like that, time resumes.
