You remember how busy Fie was, both with battling at her gym and with all the paperwork associated with running it, not to mention the occasional literal fire that broke out thanks to incautious or simply stupid challengers.
It just wouldn't be fair on either her or Latias and you're sure that Jacky is just as busy, if not moreso given she's the regional champion.
You're not completely sure of her duties or responsibilities, but you're sure there're a lot of them. Helping squash Team Green is probably one of her them, so that's also not a great solution...
Then it hits you as you start to doze off that there is someone you could go talk to tomorrow who might be able to help - Professor Conifer, the local pokemon researcher who processed your trainer application.
You remember seeing a form on his desk for a 'Companion' position, apparently for a pokemon that a trainer can't battle with unless it's an emergency, but they're allowed to keep with them for whatever reason, whether that be to assist with a disability or owing to other concerns.
Considering that blond fuck tried stealing Latias out from your family, you damn well have 'other concerns'.
You resolve to go and see the old man tomorrow as you nod off into a deep and thankfully dreamless sleep.
After how dramatic today's been, you didn't want any dreams to potentially leave you exhausted.
