The Xenos were trying their best to engage the Warp Rift ritual. However many of the sorcerers were having problems thanks to the sudden blanket upon all of their communication. Some were able to find a new frequency and initiate the start, but the knowledge had barely been circulated when the sudden ping of fear went across all the Xenos.
Many watched as one of the mysterious ships belonging to the weird metal humans quickly started to close the gap between them. Their ship tried its damndest to shoot the enemy cruiser down but the ship was built of the strong iron that the humans loved so much.
“COLLISION IMMINENT! BRACE! BRACE!+ One of their fellow slugs called out in absolute horror at what was about to happen.
None could really blame him for that fear though. The Sloog and Blogie were both psychic while normally would have helped them coordinate their attacks. In this situation, where an ambush in plain sight occured, caused that network of near perfect thought to become that of immense fear and anguish.
Before anyone could do anything substantial to change their situation the impact finally hit.
In a mere second the hull of the ship was torn open and exposed to the void. Such a large amount of damage could only have occurred after minutes of continuous fire but here it all happened in an instant.
The Greks, who had little strength in their meager limbs, were sent flying across several rooms and slamming themselves against opposing walls. Many of them simply had their Organs ripped apart from their stomachs as their souls were whisked away to the Immaterial in agony.
The Scorch had their sacks of fluid punctured and their bodies turned into a thin paste of grey matter. In that mere second, even if they had figured out what was happening, they would no longer be able to communicate with the motherland.
As all of this happened several other attacks slammed into the vessel from both the cruiser and its servant ships. The Choir that was giving the ship both power and motion were assassinated with that volley. Such a lose meant that they were finished within seconds.
They had lost and could not warn the greater Conglomerate of the coming threat of humanity.
