Great.
Crates, chairs, boxes, other junk. It's a mess of garbage down here. Given the...various fluids and stains down here, you doubt anyone has checked here in a while. You would use your UV Flashlight to try finding a trail but you rather not after seeing how filthy it is here.
You start making your way through all of the garbage down here. There has to some sort of system down here connected to the air vents or something, right?
It takes you a while to get through everything but you eventually manage to find what you were looking for. In the back of the room is a massive, ancient piece of equipment that reminds you of something from a shitty sci-fi horror movie. Turns out, you weren't the only one who found it.
Ashley is standing right in front of it, fiddling with the machinery. "I'm not a mechanic but I know enough about bars. They probably got some shitty vent outside pumping in fresh air. Lex is out back plugging it up."
"How long have you been here?"
"Eh, ten minutes, why?" Well now you feel sorta lacking in how long it took you to get here. You approach the machinery and after some fiddling, you plug a tube from it into the nozzle of the canister. Quentin sits near the canister, ready for your orders to start pumping it out.
Ashley squints at some readings she's getting. "Alright. Should be good enough. We got about ten minutes before people notice. We should leave."
"I will follow after you once I know you two have left. It will be on in. One minute. I would hurry." Quentin grips onto the canister.
The two of you do not diddle daddle and without further ado. It takes a bit too much time for your liking to push through the crowds of people but you're outside before you can start smelling whatever foul mess that's being pumped into the system. The guards are not paying attention to what's going on at all; they're still occupied by trying to calm down the Firecrackers.
Quentin follows after a minute later. Lex turns around the corner of the building to show he's caked in soot and dust. He's noticeably missing his checkered jacket disguise. He winks at you. Ah. You can guess how he plugged it up easily.
The four of you make some distance from the building to avoid getting gassed yourself and now, you wait. None of you want to say anything to break the silence because at any moment, something could happen. It doesn't take long for Ashley's body to tense up, as if she's expecting something.
"Get ready." She murmurs.
A handful of people try to push their way out of the narrow doorway of the front entrance. Blood is leaking out of their nose and their bodies are trembling like they're freezing cold. The guards try their best to keep the chaos organized but the crowd pushes through.
For every member who stumbles back onto the streets alive, about two or three fall to the ground dead. The guards quickly rush into the building to check out what's going on. A small smile crosses your face. Excellent.
