You quickly hover your hand over N&Q as you flip over to the second floor. The elevator has been blown wide open like a god damn bomb went off. Through the smoke leaking out of the recently destroyed elevator, six people step out of it.

Before you can blink, he already has one aimed at your security camera. "Ranger Snow's the name. Give me a good showing, Admonoan." He goes out of his way to slur his name as hard as possible.
You quickly check on the other rangers. Not counting Snow, there's two men and three women. Each of them having a similar get up of a poncho, a belt, and two revolvers. You'd guess they have more gear but it's either easily hidden stuff like pills or implants.
Expect for one. A firecracker of a woman pulls out a <span class="mu-r">bundle of dynamite.</span> You can see more underneath her poncho. Okay, you felt a bit bad using anomalies at first but holy shit.
Gas starts to fill the floor they're on, causing them to panic and reach underneath their ponchos. Even if they have something, the thick gas and the home turf advantage is going to make the gas a perfect smoke screen. And from what little you can see, you notice a familiar metallic heart crawling around through the vent, only visible for brief sections in the gaps of vent covers.

MONIFAMONEY: We've seen stirring in Star's cell but she's going to take a moment to exit. No sign of whatever Sense is sending.
MONIFAMONEY: Targets currently distracted. Estimate of two minutes until they adapt to our planned defenses. Estimate of four before Star enters.

Even with the gas, a Ranger aims her gun and fires. One of the meatmen hidden in the fog has their <span class="mu-r">head exploded</span>. Seems like you're only going to delay them for so long.
