A watchtower is to be built at the southern hilltop. It is decided that wood is to be used for this construction, as the city is getting large amounts of wood, both imported and locally produced. <span class="mu-g">It is estimated to be functional by summer, but fully completed by the end of the year.</span>
With the current conflicts with the redwoods, trade has been on the decline. This is disastrous for Trenfel, with many traders expecting drastic decreases in income over the coming months.
A proposal is put forward to dedicate a large amount of the city budget to improve upon the current shipyard. This would achieve both a way to better facilitate trade, and increase a naval presence.
The majority of the council agrees upon this idea, Marjun being one of them.
There is a concern however that the current shipyard is rather close to the southern border. It is argued that expanding upon it would make it a better target to attack from the redwoods, should conflict arise.
<span class="mu-g">Some suggestions are put forward by the council:</span>
Suggestion 1: Expand the current shipyard. By having all naval vessels constructed at the same place is the most efficient. Could provide a discount on the investment, or improve overall shipyard quality.
Suggestion 2: Make a new shipyard at another spot. By relocating to another spot, the boats should be better protected from the redwoods. Would also have the added benefit of being closer to the northern forrest, providing an easy access to wood for the vessels.
Suggestion 3: Invest both in expanding and protecting the current one. While this would not improve capacity by the desired margin, it would provide some additional protection to the current facility.
