As soon as you arrive back at your home, Master Adacter continues his fast gait and strolls into the second living room. Almost instantly, different doors swing wide open to reveal Master after Master; they all follow in Master Adacter’s path and quickly join him for a meeting of the minds. You do rather enjoy the sight of the poised and distinguished Masters appearing from nowhere, strutting with dignity and grace, only to be followed by Porro, who still stumbles awkwardly on his prosthetic leg like a drunken deer. Before anything else, you decide you need to cook up some food; you’ve not eaten since last night, skipping breakfast to avoid being late for your patrol.
Entering the kitchen, you open the dull grey fridge, withdrawing a transparent plastic tray of meat. Placing a worn iron skillet onto the hob, you place the thin slices of meat onto the metal. The food begins to sizzle as you dice up a thick and starchy vegetable. Chucking the vegetables onto the skillet, you pour a sauce over it all and allow them to fry together. Enjoying the smell emanating from the pan, you hurriedly get yourself a plate and cutlery. Pouring the contents of the skillet onto your plate, you suppress the overpowering urge to consume your meal then and there, and return to the fridge to get yourself a glass of fruit juice.
“Thanks,” Calls out a feminine voice from behind you. “I really need this after last night.”
Turning around, you carelessly close the fridge with the Force, creating a slam as you gaze at Vila. She is sitting across the counter from your seat, holding your fork in hand, snacking on your food. With a sigh of resignation, you get yourself a second fork; this time, it will be for you. Sitting down on the opposite side of the counter on one of the high stools, you ravenously devour your meal while Vila occasionally picks at it. You begin to speak to her about your discovery this morning and the incoming attack, the information doesn’t much excite her. Vila’s focus barely leaves your food.
“Sounds like we will be in for some fun then.” Vila finally replies, stretching and letting out a yawn before finishing off your drink. “See you later. I’m going to brush up on my Lightsaber skills.”
“Not until after you clean up. It’s your payment for the food.” You protest, quickly walking away, forcing her to deal with the mess you created.
