“No time for this, Nina. I came to help.” You’re not going to be stopped by any nonsense or amount of blushing! No, sir!
“I thought my eyes were tricking me last time, but you’re really—”
“Nina! Did you hear me?” You shake her by the shoulders. That always works to wake her up!
“GAH ~! Yes, sorry! I-I don’t know what came over me.” Nina sounds apologetic, but she knows damn well what happened to her. “Uh, help with what?” Now she’s confused.
“Saving Billy!” You need her to start going at your same speed.
“Billy? Billy Buonanotte? That Billy?” Nina is being too slow!
“Yes, who else? With the crown we should know where he’s at.” You step inside.
“O-Of course, we know. Susie identified all the crystal piece locations before dozing off.” Nina closes the door behind her. “Poor thing was so tired…”
“Then what are we waiting for? It’s time for action.” You’re ready to save a guy you barely know!
“Johnny, slow down, I can’t keep up…” Nina doesn’t know how to match your momentum.
“No, Nina, I know you can.” You show a confident grin. “Don’t underestimate yourself.”
“I’ll take your word for it.” Nina loves the compliments, but doesn’t know if she can take them. “I imagine you took for granted that I’d call you for the task since you’re the best suited for it, and that’s why you didn’t bother to call me beforehand.”
“Plus you’ll want the guy safe as soon as possible, and you have a bone to pick with the kidnapper.” You add. Your teacher nods back, like she intended to say the same. “See? I told you that you’ll get it.” You wink.
“My only miscalculation is that I wasn’t counting on your amount of goodwill to be a part of this at the first opportunity.” Nina comfortably smiles, she loves this side of you, the one that’s unexpected. “Well, Johnny, I see where you are coming from, and I agree, we should prepare.”
You’re going to save ‘Perfect’ Billy Buonanotte no matter what!
But sadly, this is all we have for this week’s thread. See you next time!
