>>5203325The process that happened next could be described as 'Arcane' as the Arbiter's perfectly human appearance, attire, and display of power stood in complete contrast to the viscerally grotesque reality of the Crucible. Kneeling down, Sathriel planted a hand to the fleshy ground. A set of runes lit up gold out of the black of her clothes and crawled down onto the ground, etching trails of blood the moment the characters touched flesh as they fanned out to settle in their per-designated positions. A pulse emanated from the runes, and the ground quivered under the command of her spell. An octagonal bone Obelisk sprouted from the ground, and like a tree it grew in until it reached five meters in height. Eldritch runes of skintalking lexicon carved themselves as gold grooves into the blackened bone creating an organic lattice of characters in vertical strips down the column, its complexity giving weight to the spell caster's mastery of her arcane art. Once completed, the bone column stopped growing and cracked at the base, tipping over. With growing momentum the Obelisk began to fall...but failed to touch the earth.
There it hovered above the fleshy earth, defying reality as per the runic instructions written on the Obelisk itself given to reality.
Sathriel asked Lisa with an amused smile. "Now then. Would you like to fly with me?"

Wishbone Village was one of the many settlements humanity created in the advent of the Crucible. It is land-marked by a gargantuan Wishbone that serves as the gatehouse arch nestled between a few skin-covered hills of fat dunes that hid the settlement save for its landmark wishbone from the horizon, protected by a Pallisade of bone that ringed around the settlement like a colonial fort. With all the basic amenities a traveling human of the Crucible would need to visit or to stay, it could be considered as the equivalent of a sleepy rural town in pre-crucible parlance.
Said sleepiness soon turned non-existent the moment Sathriel's flying Obelisk flew headlong into the Palisade walls with a resounding crash, sending the village into a frenzied alarm.
No sooner after Sathriel finished helping Lisa down from the 'transport vehicle', the Arbiter found herself surrounded by half a dozen armed and angry daughters with weapons raised, constructs amassed and abilities primed. Sathriel herself looked unconcerned at the sight while Solomon and Yan Wong stood at stance, tense and ready for a confrontation.
"Boys, behave." Sathriel said with a smile. "No need for escalation."
At the Arbiter's command, Solomon and Yan Wong relaxed and clasped their hands behind their back in a show of professionalism as a towering werebear of a woman lumbered up to confront Sathriel. The intimidating size difference mildly restrained by the police uniform whose fabric is fighting a war against the woman's bulk.
"Alright, what's going on!?" demanded the officer.
