>>6192463A harrowing storm blows over the old mansion, home to the Band of the Weird, where a funeral pyre has been set aflame for their departed warlord.
Erika Blumenthal, the one guided both by a bloodthirsty sword and this strange, ugly tie, had once boasted that she would never die. If only it were true.
"Lay me to rest in my home of Kaiser City, and bury that sword with me. When I find my rest, so too shall it. To my mother and father, I leave all I have earned. Fifty-nine thousand and six hundred seventy-six dollars, two chains worth of shares in Tony's Sushizzeria, and my other personal possessions. To my band, I leave that which we have built. The ownership of Castle Blumenthal, the Tie, as well as my vehicles Bayard, Durandal, and Heinz. And to my second, I leave my heart. God as my witness, I will watch over you to see you don't meet the same end as I have."
Now here I stand, watching the embers of her effigy being carried off by a damp wind. Now here I am, looking at that same tie that the superstitious among us had said yearned for me to be its next bearer. They said it speaks.
Yet... I hear nothing. How could I hear anything over the storm raging in my chest. My every fiber yearns for vengeance, but the one who slew her in a duel was slain in turn. This storm has nowhere to focus its wuthering, yet it still must rage on.
Silent as the ridiculous cloth thing is, with a sigh I don the tie and tell one of my brothers in arms to get in contact with those gangsters she had worked with.
Another Horace takes to the stage.
