You can't understand how people in the past managed- every year it seems like computer cycles double or triple as the Hegemony advances its computer technology- nowadays you can get full body, full personality sims going for hours and hours without being cut off...
But unfortunately, you need to do some work <span class="mu-i">eventually</span>. If you don't, you'll get your cycles docked off your rewards, plus you'll probably get a mean talking to by your remote supervisor. He's some self important prick that lives in <span class="mu-i">Class 11 Housing</span>, thinking he's some kind of big shot because of it. What a fucking loser.
You decide to turn the valve on the right- you get the feeling a valve fits for gas related machine stuff. You hear the hiss of gas in the simulation, Afterwards, you press the button on the center podium- and the machine beeps.

Oh yeah! You put in that order half an hour ago, glad your computer can remind you. You open the door to your room to see your friend levitating in the gravity field- carrying a little set of food boxes- and one for you!

“Oh yeah! I mean, you gotta be careful not to step into someone's gravity well in their room, but the AI does a good job of keeping you safe. Speaking of which- you can do your sim stuff any time of the day right? We're actually looking for more people down in the canteen during peak hours- you could do your simulator stuff before or after then.”

“Oh... well, you know that doing a bunch of different jobs makes you look better in the computer system, right? I've been trying to do one of every job on the station- you can work your way up to supervisor if get enough experience- and you get little decimal point raises every time you get a commendation from your new jobs act as a nice incentive to learn new things. It's kinda fun!”
