You all start running as fast as you can towards the Roadhouse in the distance, which even through the rain is impossible to miss, lit up with the red roof as it is.
Within five minutes, you're all panting and shaking rain off under the porch, before making your way into the roadhouse:
It's actually not as bad as you thought it would be, in terms of being crowded.
Actually, compared to the roadhouse on the way to Newport, there's no comparison.
There's actually places you could reasonably get a place to sit, the noise isn't deafening and you can actually make out distinct groups here, though everyone seems to be keeping their distance from the front lounge area where a girl about your age is sitting alone, talking on her phone.
You don't pay that any mind though as you go up to the counter and get rooms, drop your pokemon off to get checked out and head for the showers and laundry. Even with the camp shower, after nearly a week on the road, no one smells particularly nice.
