The night quickly ended after that with TalOS having to take some time to recover his body. Seeing as he had a series of chances to likely rebuild his body TalOS because of the implantation of a series of new augmentations that he had designed on the way here.
However these facts were late in the mind of TalOS as he and Leman Russ looked upon one another one last time. The two came together one last time, collapsing the other hands and forcing them into a sort of half hug.
“Ha, it was a pleasure meeting you brother.” Declared the Sixth Primarch with a laugh, “With our spirit’s blessing I hope to see you once again.”
“The same to you brother.” Declared TalOS as he gave a charming smile of his own, “A Centari of my sons have transformed themselves into your service, so if you take issue with the Mechanicum of Mars do employ them.”
“As long as they can carry an axe I will make sure to use them.” The wolfen face of the other Primarch grew lax, “And to mine as well. My sons will surely look forward to a hunt under a capable Priest.+
“You will not regret such a decision.” Declared TalOS as he thought more and more to himself, “I cannot thank you for the axe, brother, you do not know the value of such a thing. Once I reach an understanding of its workings I will have the plans delivered in person to your Legion.”
Leman looked upon his brother skeptically, “What kind of secrets do you seek from it?”
“The workings of the Material World, to comprehend the past of humanity.” Declared TalOS as he thought to himself deeply, “It is what the Machine God set out for my people and what I aim to complete.”
“Be careful as such a journey can easily lead one to become Maleficarum.” Declared the Wolf Lord as a sudden moment of caution entered his voice.
TalOS heard that word and within seconds searched his entire library of knowledge. Such a word was employed in relation to Witches and their sorceries. Though he could not help but feel something was wrong there. That he did not understand it from his own knowledge.
But TalOS simply raised his necklace and showed his brother a piece of blackstone, “Do not worry brother, for I am guarded by the divine knowledge that the Machine God granted me.”
He looked upon the item with a moment of skepticism but nodded to it, “Alright brother, I trust you will keep yourself safe from harm. Keep your eyes open and I wish you good hunting!”
