The Emperor looked at Leman Russ with what TalOS realized was annoyance. Such emotion faded as he began to speak, “TalOS, inform us about your theories in relation to the Rangdan.”
Upon being called TalOS rose from his seat and studied the crowd for a moment. Everyone was looking upon him with some form of dread, with only Magnus seemingly interested in what his words were to be. So TalOS spoke, “The Rangdan are not a singular race of Xenos but instead a final form of some superintelligence. This creature mutates those that come into contact with its creatures with controlled radioactive bursts that causes the body to grow a parasite. This is how the Rangdan reproduce, by spending time infecting other species to swell its numbers.”
None were interested in speaking out against what TalOS said. It was a wonder to the Fabricator General if his words were reaching his audience but he ignored such thoughts.
“Upon examination of previous records the Federation has shown that they’ve encountered what shall be known as Halo Stars. These formations litter the rim of our Galaxy and is what this threat comes from. Mutations like we have been seeing are in line with records from humans living in these systems.” TalOS informed everyone as he decided to give his last assessment, “Seeing as Ferrus Manus disappeared I see it likely the Rangdan Superintelligence had him captured for modification. Such an act I believe is the entity preparing for a massive push to take the Galaxy for itself.”
The room sensed the words to be finished, Horus soon speaking up above all the others, “Brother, is there nothing that can be done to save our brother from the Rangdan?”
