>>5896788>>5896722>Keep to the main access ways. You are sure to encounter enemies, but it is the quickest way to reach the plasma reactor. It is best to accomplish this sombre duty with haste and determination, lest it becomes an impossible task in time. As much as you would guess, the Orks have rampaged through a good three-fourths of the vessel at least. And if they are not raiders by intent, if they do take the ship, then you wouldn't expect to be able to sabotage it and survive.
No, the direct route outlined with your auspex is your best chance. Even if it should take you in the path of the enemy... you aren't afraid of battle! Ever since Baal you've known bloodshed, and fought there more dire foes than these greenskinned brutes. And ever since you became his apprentice, Master Voss made regular effort to see you better and better equipped for combat.
Although you do wish you had taken the chance to fetch a proper weapon before getting underway, or even venturing to the armory. Having your plasma pistol would make you feel a lot braver at least.
<span class="mu-g"><span class="mu-s">"Come on out humie! I wants see what'cher guts look like!"</span></span>
<span class="mu-b">"Oh rust it all- die already! Back to the void with you!"</span>
Just because you can fight doesn't mean you're going to go looking for one though. Several times in navigating the ship you nearly cross paths with any number of the Orks, but thanks to your advanced hearing and Meri's surveillance from afar, you usually manage to avoid trouble by waiting for them to run on by or hiding in some room or other along the way. You are trying to be quick about this after all, you can't very fight your way through every wretched greenskin on the ship!
On a few occasions though, contact is unavoidable and you do your best to triumph... or at least make it out of the fight intact.
<span class="mu-b">"-this is bad, there's too many of them! Oh Emperor-"</span>
<span class="mu-b"><span class="mu-i">Omnissiah.</span></span>
<span class="mu-b">"-oh Omnissiah, please look well upon this servant of yours, who live true to the end... wait hold on, is this a door?"</span>
You'd taken cover in this alcove of the access way, after stumbling upon a lost group of the Orks. Seemingly following the sounds of battle but you present an adequate practice target before the big fight. Exchanging fire from your laspistol and their hail of bullets, even if you hit some of them you're still outnumbered and cornered. Only happening to notice the true function as an emergency airlock seal in case of void breach, you engage the mechanism and come to be separated from your attacks by thick heavy metal... still banging and angry yelling form the other side though, you can hear.
