>>5312244The Imperial mages are caught flustered by the surprise attack and get no chance to call upon their spell work. Two of them get arrows lodged in their throat, courtesy of Caleb’s marksmanship. As they fall to the ground, clutching their grievous wounds, a third mage attempts to run away, only to receive an arrow in her back, causing her to faceplant into the ground.
Two swordsmen, myrmidons by the looks of it, swing their blades frantically at Milly. The woman is lightning fast, perhaps on par with Petra. With each swipe that she dodges, she counters with a deft slash from one of her two knives. This continues on for a few more moments, until both Myrmidons are panting and covered in nasty cuts, while Milly is unharmed. As they both begin to back off, one of them violently seizes, falling to the ground. The other Myrmidon looks on in shock at his companion, before catching a thrown blade from Milly in the eye.
Two of Sir Bertram’s archers are picking off survivors from the initial onslaught, when they are charged by the Imperial Knight you saw screaming earlier. With one swipe of his blade, both their heads are sent flying off.
“Dishonorable bastards!” The man yells. “I, Sir Gerold, will teach you the true meaning of chivalry!” More Imperial soldiers emerge from the tree line, these being archers and lightly armored infantry. Likely scouts that were looking for any enemies while the rest of the men tried to break into the fort. Clearly, they didn’t do a good job.
>A): Attack the enemy commander>B): Continue raining death on the enemy from above>C): Ensure no enemy nears the fort
