>>604365419 seems perturbed by that. “Why would you have such a thing there?”
“As I said, to record and manage what is put through the Grid, to help minimize problems with it in the long term. Chaotic, random patterns hinder societal progress if not properly accounted for.” he answers. “But if properly managed and maximized, they bring positive movement, forward movement.”
“...I think it’s more self-aware than you’re implying.” you tell him firmly.
“Pftch!” he snaps his beak dismissively. “It will not exist outside the Grid. That you’ve broken it so thoroughly means it will shut down soon.”
“I was able to kinda make contact with the Grid and start all this with my Hakkero.” you point out, showing it to him. “It’s not even attuned to this world. Are you absolutely sure?”
He stands up with mouth agape. “H-Hakkero?!” Zelos then tries to regain composure. “Hmm… your Magical skills are a degree greater than I gave you credit for, if you were able to craft such a thing, even in miniature form.”
Hey, an actual compliment! But you gotta focus. Putting it away, you continue, “This world has one, right? Are you sure it can’t like… try to flee into it and cause problems later?”
His arms cross behind his back. “Hmnh. If such a thing were to happen, I would be able to handle it with ease.”
“If you’re sure…” You then try to ease this a bit, adding, “You have some kind of whip sword, right? And I know you recognized my Sword of Blades as having divine origin.”
His eyes narrow. “Yes, I know the handiwork of the Kais anywhere. What are you getting at?”
“Maybe we can try to put what I said into practice. Temporary demonstration, share ‘em, that kind of thing.”
Zelos rolls his eyes at you, but holds his arm out, palm open. “Sophis, to my hand.” he declares.
