Urging the Nimbus to fly towards the ship as quickly as it can, you slide your hands into the metal claws you made so long ago and begin to channel your ki through them. Your muscles tense as you get closer and closer, and when it's finally time you reach out to tear your empowered claws through the thick yet inferior iron that the cannons sticking out of the side of the pirate ship are made of. Instead of it being as smooth of a motion as you thought it'd be, the claws bite deep into the first cannon, which you have enough strength to carry along as it slams into the next one, and the next one, and before you know it you've actually ripped a terrible gash into the entire side of the ship as you rip all of the cannons out of the ship at once. As you finish the swiping motion, the cannons are launched out into the sea, sinking rapidly where you imagine they'll be lost for quite some time.
With the most immediate threat to the civilians taken care of, you go to circle the nimbus around the ship to take care of the weapons on the other side, bolstering your ki along your blades once more. However, rather unexpectedly for you, as soon as you approach the first gunport on that side you have to take evasive action as a gout of fierce flames shoot out from around the cannon. Barely maneuvering the Nimbus around it, you get some distance from the source of the fire, looking into the gunports to try to get a visual on whatever tried to attack you.
All you manage to make out are multiple red glowing points, each of them spaced out about as far as human eyes might be, before the bark of automatic gunfire snaps you out of your focus. Rather massive slugs start impacting your body and zooming through the nimbus at a rapid pace, none of them actually breaking your ki-hardened skin but leaving welts and stinging about as bad as a wasp with how much force they impart on you. With neither close nor far apparently safe, you make the decision to leap from the nimbus while it soars onward, tucking your body in close as you somersault through the air until you land on the deck of the ship on all fours, looking around wildly for the assailants.
While you actually do have a moment to collect yourself from the pirates electing to shoot ineffectually at the retreating nimbus, you quickly notice a clicking sound followed by those same bullets shooting up through the deck to blindly try to track you. Thankfully, with their lack of a sightline on you, you actually have an easy time of evading them as you dash forward. Barbar is coming in rapidly on the Dark Nimbus ready to follow your lead.
>Swing down into the belly of the ship, take them out in close quarters!
>Keep them focused on firing at you and run towards crucial infrastructure, maybe you can get them to strand or sink their own ship.
>Something else?
