>>5263967After class one day, you make good on your resolve to speak with Edelgard about your “findings.” You head over to her usual hangout at the Black Eagles’ Assembly Hall, but instead find only Hubert.
“Ahh, Blair. Good to see you. May I help you with something?”
>“Oh, hello Hubert. I was looking for Lady Edelgard? Might you know where I could find her?”“I’m afraid Lady Edelgard has returned to Enbarr on some urgent business.” He tells you.
>“What? The Imperial Capital? Is everything okay?”Hubert gives you a dismissive wave. “Nothing you’d need worry about. Just a small task that has called her attention. The Professor has also gone with her, but they’ll be back before the end of the month.”
>You sigh. How frustrating. You’d hoped to get a chance to speak with the Princess one last time before the school year was over. Who knows the next time, if ever, you’ll have access to such an important figure? Hopefully, you can get in touch with her upon her return. “I understand. Thank you, Hubert.” As you turn around to make your leave, Hubert calls out to you.“What did you wish to speak about with Lady Edelgard? Would it perhaps have to do with that corpse you were inspecting back in the Sealed Forest?” He asks you.
You pause mid-step. Working up the resolve to speak about this with Princess Edelgard was one thing. Speaking about it with Hubert is an entirely different matter.
“I saw what you had gotten up to after the last mission. I imagine that the rest of our classmates have their own suspicions about who we were fighting out there, but I find it remarkable that you were the only one to actually get up close and personal.” Hubert looks at you with a serious expression.
You’re not sure what to say. You open your mouth to try and come up with something, but the heir to House Vestra cuts you off.
“Refrain from whatever you’re about to say. As you’re no doubt keenly aware by now, this is no longer the best place to speak freely. If I may make a suggestion though, don’t let your curiosity get away from you. There are some things that are better off not knowing. Lady Edelgard has great expectations for you. Do not disappoint her. Simply place your faith in Her Majesty, and all will be revealed and dealt with in due time.” Before you have the chance to offer any sort of protest, he brushes past you, leaving the hall.
