“Do you need something?” Lucian asked the man as he eyed him.
“Quite the nice scythe you have there Sir Knight.” He said taking Lucian’s words as an invitation to get even closer, “Your weapon and armor are excellent Sir Knight! I don’t think I have ever seen a set like yours.”
“Thank you…” Lucian felt the oddness increase as he flushed his hand, “As I asked before, did you need something?”
“Is there a problem with a man admiring good things?” The man said in something that was not an accent. It was a gummier way of talking that he never really heard others use, “I don’t think it's a crime. You’re so decorated, Sir Knight, you look like something that's jumped out of the pages.”
“Flattery will not get you anywhere.” Lucian told the man as he made sure his green eyes were sharply turned in his direction.
The man acted there as if he did not hear it. Or perhaps he did not understand what Lucian was trying to get at. If he was born on the wrong side of the shed then that would make a little more sense.
Or was it something else. If Lucian learned anything from the fool Wigmar it was someone might not be who they present themselves to be.
“C-can I touch it?” He asked with a hesitant hand.
A stupid idea, Lucian knew, for the man could surely feel the magic that was contained within the rune. While Lucian did not feel defeated or overwhelmed by the weapon, that was because he had gotten used to having only a single rune active. He feared what would happen if a normal man did do something as mundane as touching it.
Would he explode? Would he simply pass out from the strain? Actually Lucian was a little curious but would he allow it to take his sense of right?
“Are you sure?” Lucian asked to make sure, “This weapon is of magic, and can harm you greatly if wielded so lightly.”
“I don’t think it will do much if I touch it.” The dullard said in a gummy mock.
>Sure, touch it
>You can wield it for a moment
>No, definitely no
>Remove him with reasonable force.
