>>5352858The sharp, deadly weapon swishes through the air, right towards your torso.
Though awkward and amateurish, with inhuman reflexes, you bring up the sword to parry with inhuman reflexes, preparing for the onslaught of blood and pain.
What you don’t expect is for a loud ‘clang’ to resound through the air, diamond meeting diamond, elation flowing through you as your block had been successful. But that elation is short-lived.
Pulling his weapon out of the fray, Matt quickly recovers, again aiming a slash at your upper body. You try to block it again, and, in spite of your speed, the sword fumbles in your grip, falling downward but not completely out of your grasp, but the error is more than enough for Matt to get a hit on you, pixelated diamond slicing mercilessly through flesh.
Blood spurts out from the wound, staining your clothes crimson and causing your instinct to buzz, but that isn’t the worst part.
In a single, great burst, pixels in all manner of reds, oranges, and yellows nearly-explode into existence, encompassing the whole of your body.
And, oh man, is it painful! The fire would be more than enough to have a normal person on their knees, and, while you can still see Matt through the pixelated flames, you ignore the pain in favor of taking a sloppy, half-blinded swing at him, the swing missing by a wide margin.
Just as quickly as the flames started do they stop, as if they weren’t even there in the first place.
Surprisingly, with not even the faintest hint of a singe anywhere on your person, nothing had ended up burnt. The whole thing just happened to hurt like a bitch.
“How did that feel?” While his sword is still poised to fight, Matt had taken pause to watch the effects of Fire Aspect on you.
