Friction lock collapsible impact weapon constructed from telescoping cylindrical tubes of hardened steel, and an anti-slip ergonomic handle to aid weapon retention. Expands and locks from inertia with a forceful swing, but there is an inherent risk of the baton closing inadvertently from prodding or thrusts. Shock-resistant design can be used to break windows, to apply bludgeoning force to nerve clusters in the limbs to impair movement or induce pain compliance. Also useful in times of economic shock.
