>>6108451“Haaaah. What a day.” you mutter, laying back on the nothing of the realm. Only for a voice to chuckle from behind, you turning to see the familiar Demon God standing there looking relaxed.
“Most impressive. To think, you could handle a monster like that so efficiently.” Mechikabura says. “Yes, that Tuffle is very dead. I know you no doubt had uncertainty as to if that creature was truly dead or not. But rest assured, you killed it.”
“Well, that's a relief. Thank you.” you tell him, the relief flooding through you. That monster is truly finished.
“However, there are other threats lurking. From outside of your timeline.” he says, you understanding immediately what he means. “Beings who seek your end.”
“Do you know who it was then?” you ask him, the Demon God raising a brow. “Who made the chamber that Tuffle bastard was made on Planet M-2 immune to time scrying?”
“WHAT?” he asks, the sudden intensity of Mechikabura shaking the entire void. He immediately conjures a scrying orb, peering into it as a black hole appears. But then it starts moving in reverse, the destruction undoing itself as the planet reappears. As the Demon God rewinds events that happened in his orb, you notice something you didn't in the heat of the moment, blinded by your own attacks. But the metal man, Rilldo, survived. You watch in reverse as a ship flies backwards to where he was under your blast, leaping forward out of the blast and catching the first orb, reversing his throw.
“So he did escape.” you mutter to yourself as Mechikabura keeps looking back, trying to follow Towa and Meloka's point of view as they entered the lab. But, sure enough, the moment they cross a certain threshold the image simply cuts out. No audio, visuals, nothing.
“This is rather... Concerning, in light of recent events.” he says, raising his free hand to his chin, stroking it thoughtfully. “Either the traitor or Chronoa could be responsible, but there are always other third parties. I shall look into this. But, in the meantime, I would advise against trying to control this new form of yours. It is strong, yes, and has the potential to bring forth the power of both itself and your Berserker might. However, as it stands currently, the primal nature of this power conflicts with your Berserker Soul's true might. Preventing its full anti-divine potential from being brought forth when using it. And with the enemies heading your way soon, you'll need all the anti-divine power you've got.”
“What do you mean?” you ask him, but instead of answering he simply smirks as cracks begin forming in the void, light pouring in.
“Trust no one. You never know who might be wearing one of your family's faces.” he warns ominously, and then you're awake.
