He witnessed the event and studied it, the flow of the Motive Force going from one end to another. Where this change in flow ended and where it began was something that TalOS did not fully understand. Was it hostile? Was it friendly?
These were questions and guesses that TalOS had, but he did not know how to answer them. Surely the Machine God had his own influence upon the Motive Force and that could only mean others were around. While TalOS was paranoid, were there any deep dangerous secrets within the Motive Force that would corrupt him?
No, there would not be. This path was one that the Machine God had set him upon. Whatever it was there must be something divine about it.
So TalOS began his tests at the force. He examined it on the peripheries and tried to determine what exactly was there. His hands made a symbol and that gave TalOS a small tendril of radiation for him to test against the flow that was near him.
Impact was made, a weak impact that allowed TalOS to see so far. The flow that he intercepted went on for thousands of lightyears to regions on the galaxy the Imperium had yet discovered. Before he could gain full understanding the flow was purged of TalOS’s intrusion. It did not leave him though.
Instead the flow changed before TalOS’s senses. It was much stronger now that before with the channel having multiple layers upon it. TalOS then felt a whip of air brush upon him, like one a tutor would give a child who had misbehaved.
In the next moment TalOS felt the light around him bend and move to a much stronger degree than he had before. As they did this, TalOS studied the movements and compared it to his own knowledge. Reasoning begot comprehension, and with a few moves of his hand TalOS began mimicking the flow of energy.
What TalOS was forced to do was much harsher than whatever he was interacting with. Where the one he witness was moving smoothly with little error the movements he produced were violent.
And then it hit him again, this time a subtle gust of wind hitting him in the temple. TalOS felt the change in the air and the effects of it, his mind realizing that the gust was caused not by force, but the acceleration of what was already there.
There were two methods this could be achieved. The first was to give it more strength in weight, but the other was to shorten how much time there was.
What occurred right before him, using a disciplinary tool, was a change in the flow of time.
