“Special circumstances have been seen to, we must now look at the greater war footing.” The Emperor said as he zoomed in on the galactic, “On the eastern fringes there the First Legion encountered a new race of Xenos. The information they gathered from this race of unusual standard does not set right with me.”
They all viewed what was a small front that would have been minor in the grander scale of things. When the analytics of the battle came up though TalOS began to understand why the Emperor was worried about the battle that had taken place there.
TalOS had to vocalize the information he saw, “They claim to have fought a Xenos conglomerate and torched fifteen of their worlds. For them to have such a small empire with the ratio of Xenos does not seem reasonable. You believe there is more.”
The Emperor nodded to the assessment that TalOS gave, “I do not doubt the ability of the First to wage war. However we need someone to go into the region and start an investigation of it. Supplies will be minimal, so the one who travels there will need to be semi-self reliant.”
“The Iron Hands will do that.” Ferrus Manus announced as he raised a fist into the air, “It will give my sons skills that I have been trying to bring into their ranks for some time. We will succeed.”
“Does any others wish to go as well?” The Emperor asked as he looked about the room.
“I wish you good luck brother.” Vulkan called out as he shined a smile in the direction of Ferrus, “I too would want to go there, but my Legion needs time to swell from the recruits of Nocturn. In due time, would you welcome the Salamanders to your campaign?”
“I don’t need it.” Barked Ferrus as he gave a half hearted glance towards Vulkan, “The Iron Hands will be capable and supplies will be scarce. Even if you can feed yourself, we will be fighting over the scraps in that region.”
Vulkan gave a half hearted laugh in an attempt to provide himself some levity, “Then I will leave it to you brother. Father, is there a region that requires similar expertise?”
The Emperor did not need to ponder as his hand glazed the screen and zoomed into a region near Segmentum Solar, “This region is nearly denied to us due to the Warp Lanes. Even as its so close to the Astronomicon it is treacherous to navigate. If there is a location where you are still close to Nocturn and still need to forge your own armaments, it will be there.”
“It shall be our then!” Cheered the Primarch as he gave a grin.
