TalOS could only wonder about the anger within Fulgrim as he finally decided to throw himself off the shuttle he was hiding in. The turrets of the gunship and all other systems were compromised. TalOS did not even need to raise a finger as the pilot took the vessel off the battlefield to prevent a crash from occurring. TalOS would not have allowed the vessel to crash like that, but the pilot might not have even known TalOS was the source of the attack.
TalOS watched seconds later as Fulgrim finally took the field. He knew it would hurt his lines, but watching the glorious to see a Primarch taking the field. Astartes were sent flying into the air as he ran up to them, his weapon easily picking them up with the blunted edge.
But even as he took the field it did not help his own sons too much. TalOS watched as his entombed son teleported from one end of the battlefield to the other, quickly rushing into the rear most lines along with the Automatons. Even when the Commissars came at them the Dreadnaught sent them flying across the field in a rather humorous display.
While they were taking out his commanders, TalOS watched as Fulgrim’s guardians arrived as well, cutting a swath into the Astartes. Bloody it was, TalOS watched as his Astartes were taken to a man with Vadar forced to fight Fulgrim.
He lasted five seconds.
With his defeat the light changed to purple and Fulgrim looked at TalOS with sheer contempt. He knew that TalOS won, and he was now forced to look down an Acillian gunline. Now was just the final moments of a damning battle that TalOS won handedly.
Would TalOS try and rub it in? To give his brother that one on one fight he was likely craving at the moment? If he did then TalOS might be able to actually mend his brother’s honor and respect, while if he tried his damndest to prevent the occurrence it would solidify the defeat so well that it will likely never heal.
That of course assumes TalOS does not win against his brother. If he did, Fulgrim will never let this day go as the day he faced total failure.
>Let's do the duel!
>Let Fulgrim have the chance to catch TalOS
>Walk away and take the remaining point. He won’t get his fight.
